Our Residents

Born in South Philadelphia to a family of seven brothers and sisters, the word talent was in no short supply. When I was eight years old my mother brought home a piano that my older brother and I quickly mastered. We would go on to play in churches and at school functions. Almost before I knew it, I wanted to be a performer but I was still searching for my identity.

In high school I fell in love with the bass guitar. Like a duck to water music pushed me to swim. My high school teacher must have seen something in me and three other students because he encouraged us to start a band. We formed “Down To Earth”and began playing in small clubs and bars around Philly.

Later on as I progressed in my music quest, I decided to move to Atlanta, GA. to become a professional musician full time. I hung out at music studios and concerts or where ever I could to soak up the music scene to hone my singing and song writing skills. But what I soon realized about Atlanta was that so many others had the same exact ideas to find fame and fortune.

My next stop for the music would bring me to Clearwater Beach, FL where I would meet Johnnie Kaylor and would form the Johnnie K Band We hit the road and gigged in Daytona, Orlando and Miami. After performing with J.K.B. for a while I took some months off from the music game, until the day I received a call from a very good friend. Shawn Bonacci, founder of Legacy City, told me he needed my bass guitar to complete one of the best bands the world would ever see That’s all I needed to hear and the rest they say is history. Now from our city to yours, we’ll be seeing you soon. Peace
